“The Center is exactly what the gadget generation needs” - Rosatom Director General

The delegation of Russia’s major nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, expressed great satisfaction with the exhibitions at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, which present the scientific and practical achievements of Eastern civilization in the Middle Ages, the lives and works of renowned encyclopedic scholars, the manuscript tradition, and the school of painting.
Members of the delegation closely familiarized themselves with the museum’s exhibitions dedicated to the Pre-Islamic period and the First and Second Renaissance eras, in particular the heritage of great thinkers such as Abu Rayhan Biruni, Ibn Sina, Ulugh Beg Mirzo, Abu Nasr al-Farabi, and Babur Mirzo, their contributions to world science, as well as the interactive materials presented at the Center.

The use of digital panels, 3D reconstructions, multimedia displays, and modern information technologies in the exhibitions was highly appreciated by the delegation members.
During the visit, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev described the Center as “a fundamental complex where the historical heritage, culture, and science of Uzbekistan are presented at a high level,” and stated:
“Here, not only the architecture and the interior composition of the building, but also the overall concept clearly testify to the power of Uzbekistan’s history and culture. The Center has a solid scientific foundation; every exhibition has been deeply analyzed and created with great care. Eastern civilization, and Uzbek scholars in particular, have made an enormous contribution to human knowledge. Fundamental knowledge in fields such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy was formed precisely on this land.
This museum is adapted to the modern generation we are a generation accustomed to receiving information quickly through gadgets. The Center meets this demand; it is exactly what young people need, encouraging interactivity, personal exploration, and curiosity. The opportunity to create a virtual portrait in national dress is, of course, especially interesting for young visitors. Today, Uzbekistan stands out for its policy of innovation and openness. Here, a future generation is being nurtured young people who are eager for knowledge, think in a modern way, and love their homeland.”
