Renaissance in the Armed Forces: what will the soldier of the future be like?
Equipped with universal camouflage, body armor, and modern communication systems, and embodying a harmony of intellect and courage, the defender of the future the portrait of the New Uzbekistan soldier is presented in this very image at an exhibition organized jointly by the Ministry of Defense and the Islamic Civilization Center.
Today, reforms aimed at enhancing and strengthening the power of the Armed Forces in Uzbekistan are being implemented consistently and systematically. These large-scale measures create a solid guarantee for ensuring national peace and security and for the calm and prosperous life of the people.
Comprehensive measures to equip the troops with modern weapons, military and special equipment, and advanced gear are serving to further strengthen the country’s defense capability. These processes are also presented to the wider public in the “New Uzbekistan – the Foundation of a New Renaissance” exhibition at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
The exhibition clearly depicts the image of a professional soldier who fully meets the requirements of modern military technologies. Equipped with universal camouflage uniforms, protective helmets against injuries, night-vision devices, special goggles, and body armor, such a soldier is capable of operating effectively in real combat conditions. The soldier of the future is a technologically equipped defender of the Motherland a new generation that harmoniously combines intelligence and bravery.
The exhibition also features a special place for the battle banner of Sahibqiran Amir Temur, reconstructed in cooperation with renowned historians and source scholars. This symbol represents the continuity of our national military traditions.
In order to strengthen combat readiness and military traditions, competitions titled “For the Battle Banner of Amir Temur” are regularly held across the Ministry of Defense. As a result of large-scale reforms implemented since 2016, the combat readiness and capacity of the Armed Forces have increased significantly, and the command and maneuverability of the troops have been adapted to modern requirements.
In particular, the Air Defense Forces and the Air Force have been equipped with modern automated command systems, air defense complexes, modern aircraft and helicopters, as well as a new generation of unmanned aerial vehicles. In the near future, it is planned to triple the protection provided by fighter aviation and to increase the combat capability of fighter, attack, military transport, and helicopter aviation by at least 1.5 times.
“Interactive games for visitors are also presented in this exhibition,” says Sharofat Yunusova, a research fellow at the Center.
Thus, the reforms being implemented in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan are recognized as an important step toward strengthening the country’s defense power, ensuring regional security, and maintaining peace and stability.
