Euronews and CNN present “Whispers of Wisdom”: ten figures essential for understanding the modern world

Euronews and CNN television networks have announced the upcoming premiere of a series of video features dedicated to ten great figures of Uzbekistan, produced within the framework of the international project “Whispers of Wisdom.”

The project is being implemented by the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The narration of the project is provided by the world-renowned actor and Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley. His voice gives the project an international dimension, making complex historical and scientific themes accessible to a global audience.

The heroes of the project Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Ahmad al-Fargani, Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Amir Timur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Ali Qushchi, Alisher Navoi, Kamoliddin Behzod, and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur are ten outstanding figures without whom the development of mathematics, medicine, astronomy, philosophy, art, and statecraft is impossible to imagine.

The project brings Central Asia’s intellectual heritage back into the global cultural and scholarly space, reminding the world that many fundamental ideas of modern civilization were formed long before the emergence of European universities at the cultural crossroads of the Great Silk Road.

“Whispers of Wisdom” is not a story about the past, but a meaningful dialogue with the future. Our mission is to return to the world the civilizations, personalities, and discoveries that emerged on the soil of Central Asia and had a decisive impact on the development of global science, culture, and human thought. Implementing this project is another important step in fulfilling the tasks set by the Head of State, said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
