A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations

As part of the official visit of the Director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, to the city of Jeddah, a series of important meetings were organized. The visit was aimed at promoting the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, established on the initiative of the President, on an international scale, strengthening scientific and cultural ties, and further developing cooperation with prestigious international organizations.
Within the framework of the visit, the Director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Firdaus Abdukhalikov, met in Jeddah with the Director of the Museum of Islamic Art, Mamdouh Osman. During the meeting, detailed information was presented on the Center’s activities, its main goals and objectives, and the projects being implemented to study and promote the scientific, historical, and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization. The participants became closely acquainted with the activities of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the work being carried out.
In addition, during all negotiations and meetings, issues such as organizing joint exhibitions, launching scientific research initiatives, holding international conferences, and exchanging experience among specialists and researchers were widely discussed. The parties exchanged views on developing practical mechanisms for cooperation.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the Director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. It was noted that this document will serve to strengthen dialogue among civilizations, promote cultural tolerance, and widely present the heritage of Islamic civilization to the global community.
The parties emphasized that these meetings will help elevate bilateral and multilateral cooperation to a new level and expressed their readiness to implement joint projects in the future.
