SCO and CIS experts: “The world must see this Center!”

A delegation comprising law enforcement representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, along with 30 foreign experts from the SCO and CIS Anti-Terrorist Centers, expressed strong interest in the efforts being carried out in Uzbekistan to preserve and digitize scholarly heritage.
Participants of the joint training seminar organized in Uzbekistan at the initiative of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with leading international organizations, are becoming acquainted with the legal reforms underway in the country, mechanisms of international cooperation in combating crime, and recent developments in the activities of financial intelligence units.
Within the framework of the event, the foreign delegation visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, where they familiarized themselves closely with the Center’s exhibitions, manuscript collection, and modern interactive technologies. The guests expressed great interest in the work being carried out in the country to preserve and digitize scholarly heritage.
Mikhail Kolinchenko, representative of the international organization “Eurasian Group” (EAG):
“The exhibits presented here, especially the rare artifacts related to the life of Amir Temur, left a very strong impression on me. He was a great commander who conquered three continents. We work in the field of financial security, and we see that these issues were also relevant in those times. Ancient coins, contracts, and sources reflecting cooperation between states of that era are important for our work as well. I congratulate your President and your people on such a large-scale and effective project.”
Yulia Denisova, representative of the international organization “Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units” (CHFI):
“At this Center, ancient finds and restored artifacts are presented in a very vivid, clear, and impactful way through the use of modern technologies. The beauty of Islamic culture, rare items made of precious metals, and works of art are truly impressive.”
Highly praising the Islamic Civilization Center as an important cultural and educational hub in the region, the foreign experts emphasized their readiness to further expand cooperation with Uzbekistan in the future.
