“‘As if we entered another world’: Impressions of Syrdarya veterans at the Islamic Civilization Center”

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan became a true spiritual journey for veterans from Syrdarya: after becoming acquainted with rare mushafs and conceptual exhibitions, they described the site as an invaluable sanctuary that revives national memory.
For the people’s deputies and labor veterans of Syrdarya, the visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan was not merely an educational trip, but a profound spiritual experience that connects the heritage of past centuries with the present day.
The rare manuscripts, ancient artifacts, the scholarly legacy of great thinkers, and historical scenes animated through artificial intelligence displayed at the Center evoked great admiration among the delegation. The conceptual coherence of each hall and the revelation of deep layers of history through modern presentation were especially noted by visitors.

Representatives of the delegation described the Center not as an ordinary cultural venue, but as a hub for the revival of national memory and spirituality.
Jumaboy Rahmonqulov, chairman of the “Navbahor” mahalla in Bayavut district, expressed his impressions as follows:
“This Center cannot be described with ordinary words. We were happy to realize that we entered not just a museum, but a new space of history and thought. It felt as if we were face to face with our great ancestors such as Amir Temur, Navoi, and Saroymulkhanim. There has never been such a complete and conceptual place in the history of Uzbekistan.”
Holnisa Shayimova, a deputy of the Bayavut district council, described the Center as a great example of spiritual creation established on the initiative of the country’s leader:
“Just as Amir Temur said, ‘Look at what I have done,’ today any description falls short of this spiritual space created by our President. The knowledge, effort, and culture embodied here form a powerful foundation that will elevate the thinking of future generations.”
Another delegation member, the respected elder Saodat Qoraboeva, also shared her heartfelt feelings during the visit:
“The moment I entered this place, I felt as if I had stepped into another world. The struggle, labor, and creativity of our ancestors all come alive here. It feels as though you are seeing history with your own eyes.”

At the conclusion of the visit, the veterans emphasized the invaluable role of the Islamic Civilization Center in educating youth, strengthening national identity, and shaping the spiritual foundations of New Uzbekistan. According to the delegation members, this place will serve as an invaluable source of enlightenment for future generations.
