“A unique information space” — the Assessment of Chinese Cultural Figures

A delegation led by Long Yuxiang, Chairman of the China International Cultural Communication Center, including Wang Jinyuan, Tang Zhiali, Li Junxian, Wong Chin Hung, Lam Chi Kin, and other members, closely familiarized themselves with the exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
The architectural image and exhibition style of the Center, established on the initiative and vision of the President of Uzbekistan, left a strong impression on the Chinese delegation. From the very first moments of entering the building, the delegation highly appreciated the harmony of national traditions with modern architectural solutions, the logical continuity between the halls, and the contemporary approach to presenting the exhibitions.
The visit began with the museum’s exhibition dedicated to the “Pre-Islamic Period.” The Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries, stone artifacts reflecting an 80,000-year history, artifacts related to ancient cultural layers, and the Fergana horses installation created using artificial intelligence technologies deeply impressed the guests.

In the exhibitions devoted to the First and Second Renaissances, the delegation members became acquainted with the rich scientific heritage of the intellectual environment formed on the land of Uzbekistan, including mathematicians, physicians, philosophers, and historians.
Ancient manuscripts, calligraphic traditions, illuminated sources, numismatic finds, and the scientific achievements of the 9th-12th centuries were at the center of the delegation’s attention.
The exhibition dedicated to the era of Amir Temur, featuring rare works, ancient chess pieces, and symbols of statehood, also left a strong impression on the guests.
The next stop of the museum tour was the exhibition “New Uzbekistan – The Foundation of a New Renaissance,” which reflects the reforms being carried out in the country, innovative approaches in science and education, and the growing attention to culture and enlightenment. The delegation described this exhibition as “an important mirror reflecting Uzbekistan’s current strategic development path.”
In the “Qur’an Hall,” regarded as the heart of the Center, the ancient manuscripts, rare copies of the Qur’an, information on calligraphic styles, and paper-making traditions further amazed the guests. The fact that the exhibition information is presented in ten languages, including Chinese, was met with particular appreciation by the delegation.
Long Yuxiang, Head of the Delegation:
“The aspect that impressed me most at the Islamic Civilization Center is the unique harmony of different civilizations, science, and cultural heritage. The efforts of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to convey history to future generations and to promote Uzbekistan’s Islamic cultural heritage to the world deserve the highest recognition. The Center serves as a unique information space that strengthens international cooperation and mutual understanding.”

During the visit, the delegation members emphasized that they clearly felt the civilizational heritage of Uzbekistan, its historical development, and the continuity of its path toward modern progress.
