Historical heritage and modern thinking: young prosecutors visit the Islamic Civilization Center

The Islamic Civilization Center built in Tashkent today holds an important place in the country’s ongoing policy aimed at spiritual renewal, restoring historical memory, and strengthening national pride in the minds of the youth. As President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized, “Human dignity is the highest value,” and protecting this value, ensuring its legal safeguard, begins with fostering justice and the rule of law in the thinking of the younger generation.

Guided by this noble idea, more than 70 young prosecutors, law enforcement officers, students, and honored specialists from various regions of the country visited the Islamic Civilization Center as part of the “Leader and Youth” meeting organized by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Youth Affairs Agency.

Director of the Center Firdavs Abdukhalikov warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced them to the core concept of the Center, its research directions, innovative exhibition solutions, and educational projects designed for youth.

During the visit, the guests explored exhibitions dedicated to the First, Second, and Third Renaissances, viewed manuscripts, interactive halls, and ancient artifacts, and learned about the scientific schools formed in Uzbekistan, the legacy of great thinkers, and major scholarly contributions gifted to the Islamic world.

The Deputy Head of the Personnel Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Oybek Sultanov, highlighted the significance of the visit:

“It must be acknowledged that the establishment of such a center on the initiative of our President is a monumental and historically significant event. First of all, it is vital that our young specialists value this, appreciate it, and deeply understand how great our history truly is.

The Center teaches not only statehood history, but also the school of political thinking and diplomacy. Throughout its 3000-year history, our statehood was not confined to its own borders alone, but actively maintained relations with other states.”

Honored legal experts of Uzbekistan Ubaydulla Mingboev, Halim Boboev, and Tohir Mirzaev also expressed their impressions while exploring the exhibitions and particularly emphasized the significance of the Center not only for Uzbekistan, but for the entire Islamic world.

Tohir Mirzaev shared his thoughts:

“Today I am truly delighted. For me, this day brought new knowledge and impressions. My understanding has expanded. I already knew much about the history of Uzbekistan and always felt proud of it. But today, after coming to the Islamic Civilization Center, I was genuinely astonished what I saw left me speechless.

When visiting museums and historical centers in European countries, I used to think: ‘Why don’t we have a large, modern, and detailed exhibition like this in Uzbekistan?’ Of course, we had great historical wealth, but it was presented in different places, separately.

Today, however, seeing how our history is presented in one place organized, modern, and highly impressive in this enormous center created at the initiative of our President, I felt pride once again. I became even more proud to be Uzbek.”

The visit became not only an introduction to historical and scholarly heritage, but also played an important role in enriching the legal awareness, national identity, and spiritual worldview of young specialists. At the end of the program, the Center presented the delegation with special commemorative gifts.
