It is expected that the mega-library project in Uzbekistan will serve 200 people.

At the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan, discussions were held regarding the design of the Central Library, its automation system, and the enrichment of its collections.

 

According to preliminary data, the library’s collection is expected to include over 30,000 books. During the meeting, proposals were made to purchase an additional 5,000 books related to the history, culture, and civilization of our country through open auctions.

 

Umida Teshaboyeva, Director of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan, noted that specialists have been involved in the establishment of the Central Library. It is planned to automate the library using the Koha system. During the meeting, experts presented the advantages and conveniences of this software.
