The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan amazed IMF Experts

The delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and became acquainted with all exhibition halls, historical artifacts, archaeological findings, manuscripts, interactive features created using artificial intelligence, and modern multimedia installations. Members of the delegation highly praised the Center’s scientific concept, the balance of the exhibitions, and the harmonious integration of technology.

Within the framework of the visit, the Head of the IMF’s Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Koba Gvenetadze, shared his impressions of the Center’s activities.

Visiting the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is a great honor for me. The Center clearly demonstrates that it is an important educational hub not only for Uzbekistan, but for the entire region. The exhibitions are scientifically well-developed, and their enrichment with modern technologies turns visitors into direct participants in historical processes. The Center has special significance as a new cultural symbol of Tashkent and serves to increase the flow of international tourists, he said.

The IMF’s Chief Economist Alejandro Simon also highly praised the exhibits and multimedia solutions at the Center.

I have visited many prestigious museums around the world, but the Islamic Civilization Center can easily compete with them. The exhibitions here not only display history, but also offer a complete experience. The perfect presentation of ancient manuscripts, archaeological findings, and samples of scientific heritage amazes any visitor. The Center is a unique place that spiritually enriches a person, he said.

Another IMF Chief Economist, Etibar Jafarov, called the Center a “living history space”.

The exhibitions at the Center, built at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, are lively, clear, and reflect great effort in every layer. This place is very interesting not only for scholars, but also for young people, tourists, and the general public. The exhibitions, interactive games, and visual materials all make Uzbekistan’s great history even more vivid. Every exhibit and every image here is a bright expression of our shared history and values. I definitely recommend visitors from Turkic countries and Azerbaijan to see this Center, he emphasized.

At the end of the visit, the delegation members highly appreciated the cultural, historical, and scientific significance of the Islamic Civilization Center and emphasized that such places play an important role in strengthening spiritual and cultural cooperation between countries.
