Bashkortostan delegation at the Islamic Civilization Center: “This center is a great spiritual school that has brought history to life”

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is increasingly gaining attention as a unique place that presents not only the history of Uzbekistan but also that of the entire Central Asia to the global community through a modern and scientific approach. A high-ranking government delegation from the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation paid a visit to this important scientific and educational center.

During the visit, members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the Center’s scientific concept, the structure of its exhibitions, and its digital approaches.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovations, Aleksandr Sheldyaev, said:

“Every time we come to Uzbekistan, we visit with a large delegation from the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation. This time, after seeing the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, we were once again amazed. The scale, scope, and content of the Center all testify to the truly great work being carried out by Uzbekistan.

This Center is a grand project built on the initiative and vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In our opinion, this is exactly the kind of center that should exist: a place where future generations can come and gain deep knowledge about how Islam was formed, what great scholars emerged, and how history developed.

I can say this openly: this Center is one of the best Islamic centers in the world that we have ever seen. Therefore, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Shavkat Miromonovich for creating such an unparalleled center of knowledge and enlightenment.”

During the visit, the delegation first toured the Quran Hall. They especially noted how the spiritual heritage of Islam is presented with great respect through a harmonious combination of colors, lighting, and scholarly explanations.

Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Margarita Bolycheva, stated:

“This Center, built on the initiative and vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is an important and integral cultural and historical center for immersing oneself in history and studying not only the history of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, but the whole world. One of the largest Qurans in the world, original coins, historical objects, and items of profound historical significance are gathered here, through which world history can be reconstructed step by step.

The unique digital and interactive section of this museum allows this vast historical information to be absorbed easily, interestingly, and clearly, and also encourages visitors to return again and again to study each exhibit in detail. There are unique items here that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. In addition, copies preserved in many international museums, including the Hermitage, are also gathered here. That is, it is not necessary to travel around the world to see rare historical exhibits it is enough to come to the Islamic Civilization Center and see them in their original scale.”

At the conclusion of the visit, Albert Shaikhutdinov, representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation, expressed interest in expanding scientific and cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bashkortostan, including joint work on Islamic heritage research, cultural exchange, and exhibition projects.

The impressions of the Bashkortostan delegation clearly show that the Center not only amazes its visitors, but also creates a powerful spiritual space that deepens historical closeness between peoples, respect for cultural heritage, and scientific cooperation.
