President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan: “The Tashkent Congress is a New Chapter in Central Asian Solidarity”

The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician Habibbayli Isa Akber oglu, assessed the international congress “Central Asia: common spiritual and educational heritage – common future” held in Tashkent as an important historic event that brings friendship, brotherhood, and scientific cooperation among the peoples of Central Asia to a new stage.

In his statement, the academician emphasized the significance of the congress as follows:

“This international congress will further expand integration between our peoples and states at a new historical stage of the 21st century. The main themes cultural heritage and enlightenment are great values that have long united peoples, brought them closer together, and opened the way to mutual understanding.”

According to Habibbayli, the special discussion of the rich cultural and historical heritage and enlightenment traditions of the peoples of Central Asia and Azerbaijan within the framework of the congress is defining the priority directions of future cooperation.

He also highly praised the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative and vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev:

“This Center is a harmonious example of modern architecture and Eastern traditions, a true architectural masterpiece. It clearly demonstrates Uzbekistan’s development potential and cultural and educational rise. What we have seen here is a solid foundation laid for history and a starting point for the future.”

According to the academician, the congress will play a decisive role in strengthening unity, solidarity, and friendship between the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan, and in defining new stages of development.
