At the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a center uniting Islamic heritage and modern scholarship was established in Tashkent

 

 

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan hosted an international congress in Tashkent aimed at preserving and developing historical and spiritual heritage within a modern scholarly environment. The congress brought together representatives of religious, scientific and educational institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to discuss regional cooperation and the protection of Islamic values.

 

Within the framework of the international congress “Central Asia: shared spiritual-educational heritage – shared future,” held at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a special session was organized to strengthen the preservation of Islamic values and enhance scientific cooperation. The session was attended by representatives of religious bodies, academic institutions and cultural organizations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

 

The session created a broad platform for discussing the significance of the common spiritual and religious heritage that unites the peoples of the region.

 

 

Zailabidin Ajimamatov, Dean of the Faculty of Theology of Osh State University, described the Islamic Civilization Center as one of the most important scholarly and educational institutions in Central Asia, stating:

 

“The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is reviving centuries-old educational heritage on a modern basis. Its manuscripts, exhibitions and academic environment create an unparalleled foundation for regional research.”

 

His remarks were widely supported by the congress participants, who also praised the Center’s modern infrastructure, technology-enhanced exhibitions and its open approach to presenting scholarly information.

 

 

Nurlan Qairbekov, an official of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, also shared his impressions of the congress:

 

“The events held within the Tashkent congress provided a vast platform for scholars. Engaging in open dialogue with scholars and professors was an invaluable experience for us.”

 

He further highlighted the initiatives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in promoting Islamic scholarship and culture:

 

“The establishment of such a center is a clear demonstration of the President’s practical steps in the religious-educational sphere. This is a great service to the people.”

 

During the event, proposals and recommendations were developed regarding the preservation of Islamic values, the spiritual education of the younger generation and the safeguarding of historical heritage. Participants also paid practical visits to the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Islamic University and the Hazrati Imam Complex, familiarizing themselves with the integrated scholarly environment.

 

Congress participants highly praised the event, noting its role in protecting Islamic values, promoting educational ideals and strengthening regional cooperation.

 

 

The event was also acknowledged as a significant step toward deepening joint scientific projects, sustained dialogue and educational integration among Central Asian nations in the future.
