The Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan acknowledged Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative and recognized Uzbekistan’s cultural strength.

The Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, Atageldi Shamiradov, described the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan as the most significant scientific and educational institution in the region and highly praised Uzbekistan’s initiatives in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.

Atageldi Shamiradov, Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan:

“First of all, we express our sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Government of Uzbekistan for inviting us to the international congress ‘Central Asia: common spiritual and educational heritage – common future’, which deserves the highest respect.

As part of the congress, we visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and became acquainted with its extensive exhibitions. This institution stands out for its architectural solutions, modern technologies, and rich cultural-educational content. It clearly demonstrates that the Center is an important scientific and educational hub not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire region.

In the congratulatory message addressed to the congress participants, the esteemed President of Uzbekistan emphasized profound ideas regarding the bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and multifaceted cooperation between our countries.

It should be noted that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is the result of an initiative proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017, and today it has become a major scholarly center dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Islamic world.

We are confident that the friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and all Central Asian countries will continue to strengthen. We wish peace, stability, and prosperity to our peoples.”
