At the International School of Calligraphy at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, young people encountered the artistic legacy of their forefathers firsthand. A cultural and educational gathering was held with the participation of students from the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. This time, the lesson was not only about the form of letters, but also about feeling the essence of their meanings.
During the event, the Center’s researchers and school instructors provided the students with detailed information about the Center’s main goals and objectives, and its significance in studying and promoting Islamic and national civilizational heritage.
The guests explored the Center’s architectural design, exhibition halls, and academic directions. They also observed the educational process at the International School of Calligraphy, including practical lessons and the modern facilities created for students.
During the conversation, the instructors spoke to the students about the history of calligraphy, various writing styles, and their spiritual meanings. The students also had the opportunity to witness practical calligraphy demonstrations.

Calligraphy master Muhammad Soliyev emphasized that calligraphy is not only a skill of writing, but also an expression of patience, elegance, and spiritual purity within a person.
“Through this art, young people feel the cultural roots of their nation,” said the calligrapher.
Ahmadjon Amirjonov, a student of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, noted that the classes at this school further strengthened his love for national script.
“I felt that behind every letter, there lies history and meaning. This visit became a great source of inspiration for me,” he said.
The event served to spark young people’s interest in national writing traditions, preserve the heritage of calligraphy, and continue it through modern creativity.
