The Scholarly Legacy of Avaz Utar to be Featured in the Exhibition of the Center for Islamic Civilization
The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is planning to launch a new media project dedicated to the life and work of one of the prominent figures of Uzbek literature — Avaz Utar. The aim of this project is to enrich the content of the center’s exhibition and to promote awareness of our spiritual heritage among the broader public.
Avaz Utar was one of the renowned poets of the literary environment of Khorezm, who created works at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. He left behind vivid examples of poetry in genres such as ghazal, mukhammas, and rubai. His works are rich in ideas promoting the struggle against ignorance and the advancement of knowledge and enlightenment, while also reflecting the important social issues of his time.
As part of the project, the poet’s rich poetic legacy will be thoroughly studied, and the preparation of scholarly articles, multimedia materials, interactive exhibitions, and visual presentations is envisioned. Through this, his ideas of enlightenment will be delivered to the modern generation in a fresh and engaging format.
The project “Avaz Utar – the Uzbek Enlightenment Poet,” implemented by the Center for Islamic Civilization, represents an important step in preserving our national spiritual heritage and passing it on to future generations. The creative legacy of Avaz Utar holds not only literary significance but also occupies a special place as a national spiritual value.
