Integration of science and enlightenment

The publication of an article authored by academician Shavkat Ayupov, President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, in the prestigious international edition Newsweek PangeaGlobe, has become a source of great pride for us. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role and scientific cooperation of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan in the establishment of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. The author emphasizes that the foundation of this Center marks a new stage in the spiritual, scientific, and cultural life of the country and plays an important role in harmonizing national and universal values.
The article, published in such a reputable journal, highlights the Center’s key functions its research directions, the implementation of fundamental and innovative projects, and the development of the scientific foundations of its exhibition and museum concepts. It also underscores the Academy’s collaboration with international organizations and its active participation in international forums and conferences, evaluating these as vital factors in strengthening the Center’s scientific potential and prestige.
Indeed, in accordance with the directive of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dated January 29, 2025, the Academy of Sciences was tasked with providing scientific, methodological, and organizational support to the Islamic Civilization Center. Within the framework of this directive, the Academy and its structural divisions have established close scientific cooperation with the Center.
Under the leadership of President Shavkat Ayupov and Vice President Bakhrom Abdukhalimov, with the active participation of academicians, scholars, and research institutions, the museum exhibitions and contents of the Center were prepared at a high academic level. Within this collaboration, more than 800 scientific and research projects have been developed and are currently being implemented to enrich the Center’s activities and strengthen their scientific foundations.
Moreover, within the framework of the Center’s Expanded Academic Council, joint efforts with the Academy of Sciences and various research institutions have led to the formation of research plans and directions, the coordination of innovative and academic programs, and their practical application. These projects aim to study the scientific, spiritual, cultural, and historical heritage of Islamic civilization, reveal its contribution to the development of world science and culture, and restore national values on the basis of modern scholarly analysis.
The fruitful cooperation between the Academy of Sciences and the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan will undoubtedly continue to grow steadily, yielding new scientific results and practical achievements.
