A facsimile of a collection containing over 10,000 poems will be prepared
The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is planning another important scientific-media project — "Writers of the Era of Amir Umarhon," as well as the preparation of a facsimile of his poetry collection.
Amir Umarhon, being the khan of the Kokand Khanate, was also a poet. He considered great poets such as Lutfi, Jami, Navoi, Fuzuli, and Bedil his teachers, studied their creative techniques, and followed their example in his work, adding muhammas to his ghazals. His poems, written in light and playful meters popular in Turkmen literature and folk creativity, are all dedicated to the theme of love and passion. He gathered his poems in Uzbek and Persian-Tajik and compiled a collection that includes over 10,000 verses in the genres of ghazal, muhammas, musaddas, and tuyuka. The deep study of his creative heritage is important not only for the restoration of historical facts but also for raising our spiritual level in contemporary society.
Within the framework of this media project, the work of the writers of the Amir Umarhon era (1787–1822), their scientific and spiritual heritage, works, and historical significance will be thoroughly studied. Special attention will be paid to written sources, historical documents, manuscripts, and other documentary materials from that time. As a result, scientific works will be prepared that will enrich the exhibition of the Center for Islamic Civilization.
Additionally, as part of the project, multimedia content will be created — videos, articles, infographics, and social media materials. This will provide the broader public, especially young people, with a deeper understanding of the literary atmosphere of the Amir Umarhon era.
