President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is currently on an official visit to our country.

On October 29, President Vučić, accompanied by his wife Tamara Vučić, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan a true masterpiece of Islamic architecture and a symbol of the Third Renaissance of Uzbekistan, located in Tashkent.

The distinguished guest was accompanied by the Center’s leadership and scholars, who provided detailed information about this grand architectural complex unparalleled in the world and its significance in global science and the Islamic world.

Built in harmony with ancient architectural traditions and national decorative styles, the complex features four monumental portals, each 34 meters high, surrounding a 65-meter central dome in the national style. The grandeur of this structure deeply impressed the guests.

President Vučić explored the Gallery of Great Ancestors, as well as the exhibitions dedicated to the Pre-Islamic Era, the First Renaissance, the Second Renaissance, and New Uzbekistan. He was also briefed on the importance of such architectural monuments in the context of modern urban planning, as well as the mission and objectives of the Center.

After viewing the exhibitions, President Vučić expressed his firm belief that such efforts to present Uzbekistan’s rich historical and spiritual heritage would yield great results.

“I would like to congratulate your President and your country on the inauguration of such a magnificent complex. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to become closely acquainted with this splendid Center. This major scientific and educational institution is extremely important not only for foreign visitors but also for the younger generation, as it allows them to learn about the culture and history of the Uzbek people. Today, I believe I have learned a great deal, and I will certainly return here again, because the Islamic Civilization Center has been built in an exceptionally modern and wonderful way. I have never seen a center like this anywhere before. I would like to say to all my fellow Serbians: My dear friends, I have made a great mistake by never visiting Uzbekistan before.
