Hollywood Actor Ben Kingsley to Tell the Story of the Great Scholars of Uzbek Land




The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has launched a new international project featuring the legendary Hollywood actor and Academy Award winner, Sir Ben Kingsley.


At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country is implementing large-scale cultural and humanitarian projects aimed at promoting the spiritual and historical heritage of Uzbekistan and highlighting the contributions of great Eastern scholars to the development of world civilization. The new project by the Center for Islamic Civilization marks another remarkable step in this direction.


As part of the initiative, a series of more than ten short documentary films will be produced, dedicated to the history, culture, and outstanding scholars who made invaluable contributions to the advancement of global science and civilization. These films are intended for an international audience and will be featured on major global media platforms.


The first stage of the project includes a video featuring Sir Ben Kingsley, which will serve as a prologue to the larger series of films that tell the stories of great thinkers and scholars of the East whose ideas and discoveries had a profound influence on the development of world culture, philosophy, and science.


In the future, other world-renowned figures from cinema and the arts are expected to take part in the project, helping to bring to global audiences the unique chapters of the history of Islamic civilization that originated on the territory of present-day Uzbekistan.


The project will serve as a significant contribution to the implementation of President Mirziyoyev’s initiatives to strengthen international cultural dialogue and will promote Uzbekistan’s image as the homeland of great civilizations, science, culture, and enlightenment.
