Sir Peter Gluckman: “The Center for Islamic Civilization will become one of the world’s most prestigious scientific and educational institutions in the future”

The Center for Islamic Civilization, established in Tashkent, is becoming a new symbol of the revival of science, culture, and enlightenment not only in Uzbekistan but also on a global scale. Prominent international scholars, political figures, and journalists visiting the Center leave with deep impressions of its activities.

During his visit to Uzbekistan, Professor Sir Peter Gluckman, President of the world’s leading scientific organization the International Science Council described the scientific and cultural heritage displayed in the Center’s exhibitions as “a supreme manifestation of human intellect.” He also emphasized that the Center for Islamic Civilization, established on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, is not only a repository of religious heritage but also a unique project that scientifically reveals Uzbekistan’s contribution to world civilization.

“Great figures such as Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina led humanity to a new stage of scientific progress. Fundamental concepts like algebra and algorithm originated from this very region. In the West, we do not know enough about this, yet these truths are of immense importance for the entire world.

This Center will, in the coming years, become one of the most significant scientific and educational institutions in the world. It is not merely a museum but a research center that unites knowledge and culture. The President of Uzbekistan’s intellectual foresight and deep respect for scientific heritage deserve the highest admiration,” he noted.
