Mujahit Arslan, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Turkey, and Ozay Şendir, Editor-in-Chief of one of the country’s leading newspapers Milliyet — visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.
The Center, established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has become a major point of interest for delegations arriving from various countries around the world. The Turkish guests closely familiarized themselves with the Center’s exhibitions, rare artifacts, and innovative museum solutions.

Dr. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies, provided the guests with detailed information about the institution’s activities, goals, and objectives. He particularly emphasized the attention of the leaders of both countries to the preservation and study of cultural heritage:
“The Center for Islamic Civilization is the embodiment of the great ideas of our esteemed President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This institution has become a significant platform not only for Uzbekistan but also for studying the heritage of the entire Muslim world. At present, dozens of joint scientific projects are being implemented with Turkish scholars and experts, and further expansion of this cooperation is planned. We are also very pleased to have worked together with our Turkish partners in designing the exhibition spaces of the Center,” he said.


Mujahit Arslan, Assistant to the President of Turkey, shared his impressions of the Center for Islamic Civilization as follows:
“I am truly impressed by the magnificent complex of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. Every section has been designed and executed at an exceptionally high level, both in form and content. In particular, I was proud to see the contribution of my compatriots in the section dedicated to pre-Islamic civilizations. I sincerely congratulate you on the successful completion of this grand project.”
