“This center is a living symbol of Uzbekistan’s history” — Amin Arefnia

Amin Arefnia, Deputy Head of the National Archives and Library of Iran:

Politicians who strive to preserve history, culture, and civilization are certainly worthy of recognition. The President of Uzbekistan is undoubtedly deserving of such acknowledgment for establishing this cultural center and valuable historical and cultural complex. Personally, I also express my gratitude to him and to all the participants who contributed to the creation of this priceless ensemble.

This complex, which has risen in Tashkent, is a place where art, architecture, written heritage, and precious works are harmoniously presented, offering visitors a glimpse into the history, culture, and civilization of this land.

I personally thank the organizers of this complex for designing it tastefully and for creating it using modern artistic methods.

I have seen many cultural and art centers in different countries of the world. Nevertheless, the specialists of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, with their artistry and refined taste, have created this complex by blending exquisite architecture, artistic elements, written heritage, and historical works, which is worthy of recognition. As we walked through this complex, we became acquainted with different periods of this land’s ancient history. This center will become one of the most prestigious cultural hubs in Central Asia in the future. Alongside being a major attraction for foreign tourists, it will also serve as a scholarly headquarters to which researchers, scientists, writers, and artists will turn to study the history, culture, and civilization of Central Asia.

In addition, information is presented here about renowned figures such as Ibn Sina and Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, as well as many other representatives of science and culture, all of whom deserve special recognition.
