“This complex can rightly be called the eighth wonder of the world!” – recognition from scholars and teachers
On September 9, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference meeting dedicated to fundamental reforms in the field of education, their practical results, and future priorities. During the meeting, the Head of State once again emphasized that “The future of our country is in the hands of a well-educated generation”.
In recent years, based on this principle, new-generation programs and textbooks have been introduced in the preschool and school education system, and the dedicated work of teachers and mentors has been given due recognition.
On the eve of October 1 – Teacher and Mentor Day, an unforgettable event took place for teachers from all over the country they visited the grand spiritual complex under construction in the capital the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

Welcoming the teachers
The Director of the Center, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, congratulated the teachers and mentors on their upcoming professional holiday and briefly introduced them to the museum exhibitions being developed as part of the President’s initiative:
“First of all, I sincerely congratulate you, dear teachers, on your approaching professional holiday. It is important to note that our respected President gave special instructions saying: ‘Begin the visits to the Center with the teachers’. We are pleased to welcome you and wish your visit to be blessed. This is an honor for us.
The decoration and finishing works in the complex are still ongoing. Once the Center opens, we hope that under your leadership, other teachers and students will come and witness that this magnificent complex built on the initiative of our President — will become a true source of pride for the Uzbek people”.
This unique complex is a space where historical memory, science, thought, and spirituality harmoniously converge.

Symbolic cignificance
The visit of teachers carries a deep symbolic meaning for the journey of knowledge always begins with a teacher. Familiarizing themselves with the rich scientific heritage and the intellectual legacy of our great ancestors at the Center will provide the younger generation with both knowledge and spiritual strength.
Gulbahor Mirjalilova, teacher at Specialized School No. 52 in Chust District, Namangan Region, said:
“This Center will become a sacred source of knowledge not only for Uzbekistan but for scholars around the world. After the official opening, I intend to bring my students here so that they can acquaint themselves with the heritage of our great ancestors”.

Isoktoy Jumanov, Associate Professor at the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, emphasized:
The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan can rightly be called the eighth wonder of the world.
We used to know of the seven wonders of the world. Today, visiting this Center brought tears to my eyes — we can confidently call this place the eighth wonder.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Center’s management showed special respect and attention to the teachers. This was not just a visit, but a recognition of the teacher’s personality and their invaluable place in society.
History filled with knowledge and a future enriched with spirituality are beginning a new chapter today — with the steps of teachers leading the way.
