The pride of Uzbek poetry and a symbol of international recognition

 

In the history of Uzbek poetry, Zulfiya Isroilova holds a well-deserved place among the poets who left a deep mark with their unique voice, high artistic mastery, and humanistic virtues. Her works are distinguished by heartfelt emotions that touch the soul, devotion to the homeland, the dignity of women, and the celebration of human love.

 

Zulfiya’s creative legacy has been highly acclaimed not only in Uzbekistan but also throughout the Turkic world and the international literary community.

 

The famous Azerbaijani poet Marvarid Dilbazi once said about Zulfiya:

 

“When I meet people of wonderful character, I rejoice as if I had found a rare pearl. Zulfiya-khanim — you are one of those rare pearls and beautiful souls for me”.

 

Russian writer and translator Konstantin Simonov praised her works, saying:

 

“Zulfiya’s poems are poems of humanity, incomparable and passionate love. She was a delicate and, at the same time, strong-willed poet”.

 

The prominent Bashkir poet Mustai Karim expressed his admiration in the following way:

 

“Zulfiya is poetry itself. Her poems have captivated my heart and have become an integral part of our national culture”,

 

The great Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov also spoke highly of her personality and work:

 

“Zulfiya is a symbol of perfection not only in her poetry but also in her life”.

 

Kabardian-Balkar poet Kaisyn Kuliev emphasized her humanistic virtues, writing:

 

“Zulfiya is a powerful and noble person whose heart is open to all the noble deeds in the world”.

 

Moreover, Zulfiya was duly recognized on the international stage. She was a laureate of the prestigious Nilufar International Prize. This award, granted by the Afro-Asian Writers’ Association since 1967, honors literary achievements as well as contributions to the development of the Afro-Asian writers’ movement. In Uzbekistan, along with Zulfiya, K. Yashin and S. Azimov were also recipients of this esteemed prize.

 

These recognitions demonstrate that Zulfiya Isroilova held a distinguished place not only in Uzbek literature but also on the global literary stage. Zulfiya Isroilova is cherished as the pride of Uzbek poetry and a spiritual star of the entire Turkic literary world.
