Representatives from 15 countries are gathering for the 2nd International “Dialogue of Declarations” Forum – what calls to action will be voiced to the global community?

🔴 In Tashkent and Samarkand, the world’s religious scholars are uniting for peace and harmony

From September 10 to 13, 2025, the 2nd International “Dialogue of Declarations” Forum will be held in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand. The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies (ISRS) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the U.S.-based NGO “Love Your Neighbor Community” (LYNC), with the support of the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Samarkand regional administration.

This international forum is a logical continuation of the previous gathering held in 2022 in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, where the Bukhara Declaration was adopted and later recognized as an official document at the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly.

Since 2016, similar conferences have been held in cities such as Marrakesh, Mecca, Jakarta, Potomac, and Punta del Este, and have gained recognition as prestigious global platforms for promoting enlightenment, religious freedom, and a culture of tolerance.

In Uzbekistan, this forum was held for the first time in Tashkent in 2019. Since then, the country has consistently showcased to the international community the Uzbek people’s cultural, historical, and religious-philosophical heritage, as well as its experience in advancing religious tolerance and interfaith harmony.

This year’s event gathers nearly 50 leading theologians, scholars of religion, and prominent experts from 15 countries, including the USA, UK, China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia, and the nations of Central Asia.

At the conclusion of the forum, an Appeal to the international community will be adopted. It will address issues such as the protection of the rights of religious minorities, ensuring freedom of belief, countering extremism through enlightenment, and promoting the idea of equality for all people.

The 2nd International “Dialogue of Declarations” Forum is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence in the context of global diversity.
