The secret of the “Hall of Glory” has been revealed

At the latest meeting held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, the finalized interpretations of the monumental paintings and bas-relief works created for the upper section of one of the museum’s key divisions the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” were discussed.
The lower part of the wall reflects the major stages in the journey of humanity and various civilizations in chronological order. The upper section, rising five meters high, portrays the diverse civilizational phenomena of our nation’s history through monumental paintings and bas-reliefs.
Leading artists and sculptors of the country were engaged in this process. Their works aim to ensure that the museum will not only serve as a source of information in the future but also as a source of inspiration and delight for its visitors.
In addition, artworks prepared for the “Hall of Glory”, located at the main entrance of the Center, were presented. This hall, consisting of 14 arches, embodies the progress of science, natural and religious knowledge, as well as the images of heroes who left their mark on history.
Furthermore, six compositions dedicated to the Second Renaissance the era of Amir Temur and the Temurids were widely discussed. These works depict the flourishing of science, culture, and statecraft during that period.
This is not the triumph of one person, but the creative victory of an entire team. Each miniature on the wall conveys the historical spirit. The scholars of the Center received this work with great interest, and it has earned a worthy place at the Center of Islamic Civilization, — said Behzod Khojimetov, Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies and miniature painter.
Portraits of great women such as Saroymulkhanim, Gawharshodbegim, and Nodirabegim were also presented for review by the scientific council.
As noted during the discussions, the works had undergone several revisions and were refined based on the recommendations of both local and foreign experts.
The Center’s Chief Researcher, Zohidulla Munavvarov, emphasized that “the finalized interpretations presented today were unanimously supported by all”.
