Special attention is being paid to the principles of inclusivity at the Center of Islamic Civilization

The construction work being carried out at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has entered its final stage, with special emphasis placed not only on modern architectural solutions but also on the implementation of inclusivity principles. This approach further strengthens the importance of the Center not only as a scientific, educational, and cultural hub but also as a place that promotes the principles of social justice and equality.

In the course of construction, ramps, special entrance paths, guide signs and tactile paths for the visually impaired are being installed in accordance with modern standards to create a convenient and barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities. In addition, the introduction of specially adapted information tools for persons with hearing impairments is also envisaged.

To study the ongoing work on site, Jasur Jumayev, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, along with representatives of the Society of the Disabled, the Society of the Blind, and the Society of the Deaf, familiarized themselves with the construction processes being implemented at the Center. During the meeting, relevant proposals and recommendations were given to further improve the conditions that fully comply with the principles of inclusivity, expand the available opportunities, and apply advanced international practices.

As a result, the Center of Islamic Civilization is expected to become a modern educational and enlightenment institution that provides equal and comfortable conditions for all citizens, including persons with disabilities, thereby ensuring genuine inclusivity.
