At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, a unique artifact of historical significance a gold-plated tray dating back to the 10th–11th centuries is being exhibited. This work of high artistic value is particularly notable for having belonged to Abu Mansur ibn Sabuktigin, a representative of the Samanid amirate and the Ghaznavid dynasty.

 

The tray measures 37 × 22 cm, and it is valued not only as a luxurious object but also as a remarkable example of the people’s applied arts at the highest level. Its distinctive decorations and craftsmanship reflect the harmony of Samanid and Ghaznavid art. This cultural continuity illustrates the development of artisanal traditions across the two dynasties.

 

The display of this rare relic at the Center of Islamic Civilization holds great importance in promoting our people’s historical heritage and passing it on to future generations. The tray is treasured not only as a specimen of material culture but also as a living witness of history, art, and cultural legacy.
