Uzbekistan is expected to become a center of Qur’anic Studies: international experts gather in Tashkent!
🔴 A unique exhibition: historical qur’an manuscripts blended with modern technology
🔴 A new perspective on qur’anic history: interactive exhibitions in the making
At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, international cooperation and scholarly discussions are actively continuing within the framework of the “114 Qur’ans” project.
In particular, a joint working meeting was held with Professor Emek Uşenmez from Istanbul University and Alexander Wilhelm, Vice President of Austria’s “Myuller & Shiller” company, along with the company’s specialists. The discussions focused on identifying errors and deficiencies in Qur’an manuscripts, subjecting them to scholarly examination, and preparing them for exhibition.
Experts emphasized that the process of placing Qur’an copies in museum exhibitions requires not only external design but also scholarly foundation, historical accuracy, and thematic completeness. Collaborating with internationally experienced experts is of great importance to ensure high quality and effectiveness in this process.
Representatives of the Center of Islamic Civilization stated that upon completion of the “114 Qur’ans” project, not only historical manuscripts but also interactive exhibitions based on modern technology will be showcased. This will allow visitors to gain deeper insights into the history of the Qur’an, its various copies, and scholarly research.
Once this large-scale project is completed, the museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization is expected to become one of the most prestigious hubs for Qur’anic studies, not only in Uzbekistan but across the entire region.
