In the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries”, the heritage of our ancestors is being rediscovered through a new experience

🔴 States that existed in our land since ancient times

🔴 Great personalities

🔴 Major discoveries in a modern museological approach

One of the most important parts of the main exhibition being created at the Museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” — is being prepared for presentation to the public.

The section “Pre-Islamic Civilizations” of this composition, which measures 52 meters in length and 8 meters in height, is expected to present the ancient states, great personalities, and significant discoveries that existed in our land, interpreted through the lens of modern museology.

At the Center, a discussion meeting was held dedicated to the final outcomes of the working group on the concept of this exhibition. During the session, the overall idea of the section, the arrangement of exhibits, label texts, and design solutions were thoroughly reviewed.

Special attention was given to the name of each exhibit, its historical period, the region where it was discovered, and its presentation in the exhibition. Associate Professor Obid Tangirov, Doctor of Philosophy in History, noted:

During our discussions with scholars, it was emphasized that the name, territorial and chronological affiliation, and whether each source is an original or a copy must be clearly indicated. This will make the information more comprehensible and engaging for visitors.

It was also mentioned that, in cooperation with archaeologists, detailed scientific descriptions, historical sources, and precise placement of each exhibit in the museum are being prepared. Furthermore, in order to preserve the originals and display them under secure conditions, special replicas will be produced.

The main idea of this section is to highlight the civilizations that flourished in the territory of Uzbekistan, their material and spiritual heritage, and their contribution to world progress.

The “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” exhibition will not only present historical facts but will also allow visitors to feel the breath of the past and rediscover the heritage of their ancestors in a new experience. This project is expected to become an important step in transmitting our country’s rich historical legacy to future generations in line with modern museological standards.
