An 8-year dream is coming true

🔴 The transfer of priceless works to the library of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has begun!

🔴 From ancient manuscripts to modern research, priceless works are now being gathered in one place. This historic process is being carried out under a project that has been in preparation for the past eight years.

At a time when attention to science, history, and spirituality in Uzbekistan is rising, we are witnessing another significant historical event. At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center of Islamic Civilization being established in Tashkent is beginning to show results as not only a cultural and educational hub but also a rich scientific institution.

A modern library – a home of rich scholarly heritage

The modern library, designed for nearly 300 seats, is capable of collecting around 50,000 rare manuscripts, as well as scientific, literary, historical, cultural-educational works, and unique publications. Each of these works is a reflection of our ancestors’ intellect, their limitless pursuit of knowledge, and their enduring spiritual legacy.

The transfer of books has begun

Today, the transfer of scientific and popular books to the Center’s library has officially started. At present, more than 35,000 books have already been placed in the Center’s library collection.

Participants in this noble endeavor proudly note that this process has been planned for eight years and that, at last, this historic stage is being realized.

Broad cooperation and collective efforts

The work of sorting, cataloging, systematically organizing, and properly preserving the books is being carried out in close cooperation with several leading scientific institutions, including:

▪️ The National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi

▪️ The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek

▪️ Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies

▪️ The Information Resource Centers of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. Alongside them, a devoted team of over 100 specialists and volunteers is actively participating.

They are carefully organizing the entire collection to prepare it for wide presentation to the scholarly community.

An expanded collection, broader opportunities

Cooperation with other libraries has also been established. Through this, the collection is being further enriched, while processes of creating electronic databases, digitization, and the use of information technologies are being gradually implemented. This opens broad scientific opportunities for both local and international scholars and researchers.

A scholarly bridge to the future

The library of the Center of Islamic Civilization is a scholarly and spiritual bridge connecting the past with the future. Each page within it symbolizes the intellect, spiritual heritage, and devotion to knowledge of our ancestors.

This library is not merely a place where books are preserved but functions as a center of science, enlightenment, and culture. At present, the Center’s administration, staff, and library specialists are working tirelessly so that this treasury of knowledge may soon open its doors to scholars, students, and researchers. We are confident that every person who values knowledge will find inspiration and priceless information in this sanctuary.
