A facsimile copy of a historical work written by Babur’s nephew will be created

To further enrich the exhibition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, a historically and culturally significant source — the famous “Tarikh-i Rashidi” by Mirzo Muhammad Haidar Dughlat — will be studied in depth, and a facsimile copy of the work is planned to be created.

Mirzo Muhammad Haidar Dughlat, a prominent 16th-century historian, writer, and statesman, extensively covered the political and cultural life of Mawarannahr and the neighboring regions in his work. “Tarikh-i Rashidi” is considered valuable not only from a historical standpoint but also from a literary perspective.

The preparation of the facsimile copy is an important step toward preserving the original appearance of the manuscript and presenting it to the academic community and the general public. This allows for a direct connection with history.

Adding “Tarikh-i Rashidi” to the Center’s exhibition will provide visitors with a new cultural experience and offer an opportunity to explore another vivid chapter of our history.
