The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is preparing a new interactive exhibition that will open the way for children into the world of history and science.

Commissioned by the Center, the project was developed by Salim Ahmad, head of the prestigious UK-based organization 1001 Inventions, and his team. Using modern technologies and animation, it aims to spark children’s interest in books, discoveries, and the heritage of great scholars.

At the latest meeting chaired by the Center’s Director and Chairman of the Academic Council, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, the “1001 Inventions” concept for this exhibition was presented.

According to the plan, in the first room of the museum area allocated for young visitors, the walls will be decorated in the colors of the Uzbek flag, and a one-meter illuminated metal book will be installed. The book’s inner lighting effects will synchronize with stories shown on a cinema screen, bringing to life scenes of historical events, great discoveries, and the lives of eminent scholars as the pages “turn”.

In the exhibition, children will first encounter depictions of Abu Rayhan Beruni and Muhammad Khwarizmi as mature scholars. Then, seeking the answer to the question “What were they like in their youth?”, they will watch cinematic scenes portraying the scholars’ childhoods and their first steps into the world of knowledge.

The head of 1001 Inventions gave the Academic Council detailed information about the exhibition’s content for children and its technical solutions, emphasizing that the work is progressing steadily.

According to the foreign partner, the exhibits are being produced by leading companies in London and Germany. Eighty percent of them have already been delivered to Uzbekistan, and the remainder will arrive by the end of next week.
