An international initiative to promote Islamic heritage in Uzbekistan is being implemented

🔴 Another opportunity for scientific and cultural diplomacy

🔴 The modern international arena of Islamic Civilization

A major international initiative is being implemented at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan: the second floor of the Center’s building, constructed on the initiative and idea of the President, is being equipped as an international platform that meets modern standards and serves science, culture, and humanitarian cooperation.

As noted at the latest expanded meeting of the Center’s Scientific council, this project is being carried out within the framework of the strategic programs of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Its main goal is to create an intellectual, cultural, and humanitarian space for the new generation, based on the spiritual traditions of Islam and the historical and scientific heritage of our country.

This initiative will become an important platform for widely promoting the place and contribution of the Islamic world in global civilization, as well as for showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage on the international stage.

The main objectives of the project:

▪️ Popularizing the contribution of Islamic civilization to world science and culture;

▪️ Presenting Uzbekistan’s cultural and scientific heritage to the international community;

▪️ Conducting joint research, exhibitions, and forums with international organizations, museums, and scientific institutions;

▪️ Developing scientific and cultural diplomacy and strengthening open dialogue.

The second-floor exposition will consist of 13 thematic sections, highlighting cultural and scientific ties between Uzbekistan and various countries, historical events, and universal values.

Thematic sections include:

➖ Uzbekistan–Hungary relations and the travels of Ármin Vámbéry;

➖ The 90-volume “Cultural Heritage” series and cooperation with international scholars;

➖ Uzbekistan–Italy: Dialogue of Civilizations through Kakhri Qala;

➖ Early 20th century – the Jadid era and the legacy of Khudaybergan Devanov;

➖ The legacy of the great Timurids and the Bobokhanovs;

➖ The culture of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation;

➖ Joint exhibition with the National Library;

➖ A special exposition dedicated to New Uzbekistan, and others.

All sections will be equipped with modern multimedia technologies, creating an international platform atmosphere through video chronicles, photographs, maps, and artistic decorations. Information materials will be presented in national and international languages.

According to the Center’s Director and Chairman of the Scientific council, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, the second floor is planned to function not only as an exhibition but also as a center for international scientific and cultural cooperation.
