“Wall of civilizations, figures, and discoveries”: A visual encyclopedia of Islamic civilization is being created

🔴 An exhibition where history speaks through technology

🔴 A wall uniting science, personalities, and statehood

A discussion was held on the exhibition concept titled “Wall of civilizations, figures, and discoveries” at the Museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. This large-scale meeting brought together the Center’s scholars, researchers, specialists, and designers with international experience.

This section of the exhibition is planned to be placed in the Center’s Hall dedicated to the First Renaissance. The “wall” will present the stages of civilizational development, the contributions of great thinkers, and their impact on global science in an interactive, visual, and educational format.

Among the presented materials are historical maps, coins, manuscripts, documentary films, and games and video content based on modern visual technologies. These elements will be displayed across three chronological blocks. Within these blocks, the global scientific achievements of figures such as Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Ahmad al-Farghani, Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, and Ibn Sina will be highlighted through dedicated exhibits and information panels.

“Each block is being created with conceptual and visual coherence. This exhibition is not only an informative historical display but also an educational journey for young people”, said Obid Tangirov, a researcher at the Center.

During the discussion, a number of proposals were made regarding the structure of the content, thematic coherence, and possibilities for enrichment through technology. In particular, it was noted that this “wall” model is also adaptable to other thematic exhibitions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the working group agreed on plans to enhance this exhibition in line with international display standards and to present it in an engaging and interactive environment. The “Wall of civilizations, figures, and discoveries” will serve as a source of knowledge and inspiration, reflecting the core ideas of the Center’s overarching concept.
