A special 10th volume of the state register of ancient written sources has been published

This special volume of the State Register includes information on 910 Qur’an manuscripts preserved in the collections of Uzbekistan.

 

Of the 910 manuscripts listed in the special 10th volume of the State Register:

 

296 come from the collection of the Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan,

355 from the Library of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan,

60 from the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan,

66 from the Imam Bukhari International Research Center,

64 from the Library of the State Museum of Literature named after Alisher Navoi,

32 from the Treasury of Sources Department of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan,

2 from the State Museum of Art of Uzbekistan,

1 from the International Public Foundation “Golden Heritage,”

17 from the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve,

7 from the Kokand State Museum-Reserve,

1 from the Kokand Museum of Literature,

1 from the Kokand Museum of Scholars,

5 from the Samarkand State Museum-Reserve,

1 from the Museum at the Mausoleum of Abu Muin Nasafi,

3 from the Shahrisabz State Museum-Reserve.

 

The chronological span of the manuscripts included in this special volume extends from the 7th century to the early 20th century.
