Islamic heritage in a new interpretation

🔴 Breathing New Life into 700 Years of Islamic Civilization Heritage

🔴 A Sublime Spiritual Map of the Holy Qur’an is Being Developed

🔴 Historical Pages Are Being Revived

The “114 Qur’ans” project, being implemented by the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, represents a significant step in safeguarding Islamic heritage and conveying it to future generations through its profound meaning and high scholarly value. This initiative holds importance not only at the national level but also internationally.

As previously reported, the primary objective of this project is to prepare a book-album dedicated to 114 Qur’anic manuscripts, created between the 7th and 20th centuries across Turkestan and the broader Islamic world, and currently preserved in the world’s major archives. These manuscripts are being studied on a scientific basis.

One of the most striking features of the “114 Qur’ans” project is its organizational design. The book cover is being developed according to a special concept, which includes motifs from the Kiswa the cloth that covers the Kaaba. This visual solution further deepens the book’s sacred message and evokes a spiritual atmosphere for the reader.

Today, under the leadership of the Center’s Director Firdavs Abdukhalikov, a meeting was held to discuss the concept of the book-album. It was attended by Professor Emek Uşenmez of Istanbul University, an expert in manuscripts and Islamic culture, as well as scientific staff from the Center. It was noted that the book will be published in Uzbek, English, and Arabic, with publishing houses from Turkey and Germany also expected to participate in the process.

“This book is of great importance not only for science but also for spirituality and culture”, says Firdavs Abdukhalikov.

It should be especially noted that “114 Qur’ans” is not merely a collection of manuscripts it is a project that harmonizes spiritual heritage, scholarly knowledge, and cultural values. It revives the historical pages of the Holy Qur’an and reaffirms Uzbekistan’s role in Islamic civilization on the international stage.

This project creates an opportunity for future generations not only to study these sacred pages, but to feel them with devotion, knowledge, and pride.
