The Center of Islamic Civilization – A Hub for Preserving Heritage and Promoting Knowledge

Oman’s Ar-Ru’ya newspaper published an article by journalist Ibrahim Al-Hadi titled “The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan: A Cultural Landmark Promoting Heritage and Knowledge.”

— The Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, while reaffirming Uzbekistan’s commitment to the development of cultural dialogue, aims to become a global hub for preserving Islamic heritage and promoting long-standing traditions in this field, — writes the author. — The foundation stone of the building was laid on the day of Eid al-Fitr in 2018. Located within the historical Hazrati Imam complex, the center’s grandeur captivates every visitor...

Blending traditional Uzbek architecture with modern technologies, the center consists of a spacious three-story building crowned with a high dome that reflects the majesty of Islamic design.

The center’s mission is to document the work of Muslim scholars and to promote values based on tolerance, in cooperation with international organizations such as UNESCO and ISESCO.

The center includes several key departments focused on studying the development of Islamic civilization over the centuries. The second floor houses an expansive museum rich with rare exhibits and a large conference hall, while the third floor features thousands of manuscripts and a vast library.

In collaboration with scientific institutions and involving researchers from around the world, the center is expected to become a platform for academic and cultural exchange.
