Through the “Wall of Time” project at the Center of Islamic Civilization, historical heritage is being presented in a new technological format

👉Al-Khwarizmi’s “Algorithm pillar”
👉Ibn Sina’s human anatomy
👉Al-Farghani’s Nilometer device. These are expected to be presented in a memorable, impactful, and inspiring style using modern visual technologies.

The exhibitions at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan are not only dedicated to science and history but also serve as a source of inspiration, spiritual guidance, and intellectual wealth for future generations.

The Wall of Time project, implemented by the Center, is more than just an exhibition it is an innovative cultural and educational initiative aimed at presenting the development of human civilization through a new lens.

This project, encompassing the pre-Islamic period, as well as the First and Second Renaissances, is being transformed into a modern educational platform through interactive media content, animation, 3D graphics, and artificial intelligence.

The main goal of the project is to spark interest in science among the younger generation and to present the scientific legacy of the great thinkers and scholars who flourished in the Islamic world in a memorable, impactful, and inspiring manner through contemporary visual tools.

Within the Wall of Time, nearly 100 multimedia video contents, animations, game technologies, and AI-based exhibits are being developed. Among them, the legacies of foundational figures in global science such as Al-Khwarizmi, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, Ahmad al-Farghani, and others hold a prominent place.

For example:

👉 In the section dedicated to Al-Khwarizmi, solving equations through the “Algorithm Pillar”;
👉 In the Ibn Sina exhibition, studying human anatomy through interactive methods;
👉 In the case of Al-Farghani, modeling agricultural productivity by controlling water levels based on his Nilometer device such elements spark curiosity and a passion for knowledge among young people.

The project is being carried out by specialists from the Center of Islamic Civilization in cooperation with local and international scholars, as well as leading scientific institutions such as Russia’s Planet 9 and the University of Oxford. This approach further strengthens the Center’s scientific and cultural reputation on the international stage.

Each piece of content created during the process is reviewed by the Scientific Council of the Center of Islamic Civilization and refined based on historical sources. This ensures that the project becomes a model of harmony between science and art.

Muzaffar Erkinov, Director and creative lead of the project:

“Every frame, every visual element is a dialogue with history. Because scientific accuracy and creative vision are combined, we are not only reflecting the past we are reviving it in the minds of the youth”.

This large-scale, scientifically grounded, and technologically advanced project is a vivid embodiment of our President’s vision for a “New Renaissance”. This exhibition is not only about science and history it is a source of inspiration, spiritual guidance, and intellectual treasure for future generations.
