History is being harmonized with a modern expression for the youth

At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, traditional forms of expression are being harmonized with modern technologies in the development of exhibitions.

Alongside manuscripts, models, historical artifacts, and replicas, interactive solutions, 3D animations, digital visualizations, virtual exhibitions, and specially produced video content are being widely utilized.

According to the Center’s Director, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, a key priority is enriching the exhibition with modern media products, particularly by presenting them in formats that are engaging and impactful for young audiences.

“The President, during his visits to review the construction of the Center, has specifically emphasized the need to use expressive formats in museum exhibitions that attract the younger generation. As a result, media content has become one of the key directions of the Center’s activity”, said the Director.

To this end, a collaboration meeting was held between the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Cinematography Agency regarding film and media projects for the mega-exhibition.

It was noted during the meeting that historians, directors, and media specialists are actively working together within the framework of these projects. Special emphasis was placed on the need for a coordinated system to authentically and clearly visualize scenes depicting female figures of the Timurid era particularly the portrayal of Gawharshodbegim.

Directors proposed the establishment of a special artistic council to ensure the artistic quality of the projects, suggesting that all visual elements such as costumes, stage designs, and accessories be reviewed and analyzed by scholars and experts.

During the meeting, initial video drafts dedicated to the lives of Abu Rayhan Beruni and Jaloliddin Manguberdi were presented, and specific tasks for future media productions were outlined. It was particularly emphasized that each project must be completed with quality, precision, and on schedule, and that all suggestions and issues should be addressed promptly.
