According to Italian “Magister Art” company architect-designer Laura Peretti, the work on this exposition is “one of the most complex, yet most memorable stages”.
At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, a regular discussion session was held to enrich the content of the exposition dedicated to the “First Renaissance,” to determine the placement of exhibits, and to define its educational-conceptual directions. The meeting, attended by the Center’s director Firdavs Abdukhalikov, the director of the Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation Sali Shasivari, Italian architect-designer Laura Peretti from “Magister Art”, scholars from research institutes under the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Imam Maturidi Center, and other scientific institutions, focused on the content of the seven capsules to be organized in the First Renaissance section.
These capsules will present various aspects of the era of scientific and spiritual revival philosophy, medicine, astronomy, mathematics, art, and enlightenment through historical sources, rare manuscripts, and aesthetic expression.
According to architect Laura Peretti, the work on this exposition is “one of the most complex, yet most memorable stages”.
“While studying this era, it has been of crucial importance to remain open to new knowledge and to scientifically reorganize historical roots,” she said.
The meeting also discussed the dimensions of display cases, the placement of exhibits, the concept of the section dedicated to Abu Ali ibn Sina’s activity, and materials related to fundamental works on medicine.
This historical and educational exposition is being evaluated not only as a look into the past, but also as a guiding light for the future. Participants emphasized that the idea of the “New Renaissance” promoted by the President of Uzbekistan rests precisely upon this historical legacy, and that presenting it to the wider public through modern technologies strengthens the spiritual foundation of national progress.
