Imam Bukhari innovative museum: the harmony of hadith, history, and technology discussed
The Imam Bukhari Innovative Museum consists of nine pavilions, each designed to present Imam Bukhari’s legacy, Islamic scholarship, historical figures, and spiritual values through modern approaches.
At the museum’s entrance, visitors will encounter hadiths and sayings from the great muhaddith’s Sahih al-Bukhari. The first section will feature information about the 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. The remaining pavilions will highlight great figures of Islamic history, the sciences of tafsir and hadith, the development of intellectual and philosophical thought, as well as the influence of Imam Bukhari’s legacy on world scholarship all conveyed through interactive and innovative methods.
To refine such a conceptually and technologically complex project, a discussion session was recently held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The session brought together the center’s researchers, project leaders, and representatives of Turkey’s Outdoor Factory company.
During the meeting, participants thoroughly analyzed the architectural solutions of the museum pavilions, the content of the exhibitions, graphic and technical design elements, as well as the quality of animated and documentary films and the overall appeal of visual communication tools.
The final version of the museum’s logo was also presented and approved by the expert council.
At the same time, certain shortcomings in the project’s execution were addressed. Scholars criticized some materials presented by Outdoor Factory for containing technical and spelling errors, noting issues such as texts that were difficult to read, inconsistent fonts, and orthographic mistakes in wall inscriptions.
Company representatives responded that repeated resubmissions and corrections were delaying the project’s completion and increasing costs. As a result, both sides emphasized the need to reach a final, definitive version of the project without further delay. Davronbek Maqsudov, first deputy chairman of the committee on Religious Affairs, pointed out specific flaws to the foreign partners and stressed the importance of avoiding such errors in the next stages.
The session also featured the screening of 11 animated and documentary films prepared for the museum, some of which were discussed in detail. Suggestions and recommendations were made regarding their historical accuracy, artistic quality, and technical standards.
In conclusion, responsible individuals were assigned for each pavilion, with the agreement that they would visit the museum site and finalize decisions for each section. This approach aims to improve the project’s quality, enrich the exhibition’s content, and create a unique international-standard counterpart.
