The gift of the “Sevimli” TV channel to the Center of Islamic Civilization
The construction of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, initiated under the idea and guidance of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has reached its final stage. At present, construction and finishing works of the main building are almost complete, while efforts to enrich the center with exhibitions and content are actively continuing.
Currently, nearly 2,000 scholars, specialists, designers, craftsmen, and architects from both Uzbekistan and abroad are engaged in more than 800 ongoing projects.
It is worth highlighting an important collaborative initiative in this process. As is known, many ministries and institutions are contributing to the content of the Center’s Museum and library. In support of the President’s initiative, one of the most popular media platforms in Uzbekistan the “Sevimli” TV channel is producing models of the most famous and rare historical monuments of our country.
Through this initiative, 25 of the most significant historical monument models will be donated as a gift to the Center of Islamic Civilization Museum.
“Based on the President’s idea, we decided to contribute to enriching the content of this center by creating models of historical monuments. Work on the models began in April this year. Each model is being designed with detailed study of historical foundations, ornaments, and architectural styles, and in cooperation with scholars, which reflects our serious approach. At present, four models are fully completed. These are the Fayoztepa and Sopolitepa monuments in Surkhandarya, the Samanid Mausoleum in Bukhara, and the Nilometer in Egypt built by our great scholar Ahmad al-Farghani. The models are being prepared with great responsibility. Each object is created on the basis of discussions and scholarly conclusions. Some are finished, while others are in the production stage. We are extremely pleased to participate in bringing the President’s great vision to life”, said Jaloliddin Safoev, director of “Sevimli” TV channel.
The models, commissioned by “Sevimli” TV channel, are being created by the organization Artefact, with the involvement of more than 15 specialists, including technical staff and design experts in modeling.
For reference:
The Center of Islamic Civilization is expected to become one of the largest scientific and educational complexes not only in Uzbekistan but also in the entire Muslim world. It will showcase the vast contributions of Islamic science, spirituality, and its great role in world civilization through modern visual, interactive, and scholarly methods.
