Explanations for each exhibit are being prepared in four languages

On the initiative and instructions of our President, special attention is being given to ensuring the completeness of the exposition at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the thorough development of each project. Work has begun on preparing texts for the museum’s expositions.

These texts that is, the explanatory notes placed alongside the exhibits are intended to provide visitors with brief, clear, and understandable information about each object. They will offer descriptions of individual exhibits, groups of items, or entire sections.

Historians, art experts, and other specialists have been involved in the process. Each text is expected to include well-grounded yet concise information about the exhibit’s name, period of creation, historical context, technical features, and artistic expression.

It is considered essential that these explanatory texts be equally understandable both for professional audiences and for ordinary visitors. At a meeting held at the Center, it was noted that specialized terminology should either be clarified or simplified wherever possible. It was also decided that all texts will be prepared in Uzbek, English, Russian, and Arabic.
