Work is underway on a project dedicated to the history of textiles and sewing
Within the framework of the “Pre-Islamic civilizations” section of the exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, work is underway to create a special exhibition dedicated to the development of textiles, sericulture, and sewing art.
In this regard, another working meeting was held under the leadership of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Jannat Ismoilova, to discuss the content, form, and methods of presenting the project. Specialists from Turkey’s design company “Outdoor Factory” also took part in the discussion.
It was emphasized that the traditions of pre-Islamic textiles and sericulture, as well as the culture of needlework expressed through natural dyes and national patterns, are planned to be presented using modern visual tools such as 3D models, multimedia stands, and interactive exhibits.
According to experts, this exhibition will not only be based on archaeological and historical data but will also play an important role in instilling in the younger generation a sense of national identity, respect for historical heritage, and appreciation of the labor culture of their ancestors.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to establish additional working groups and develop practical plans in order to organize the project more effectively and convey its scientific and educational aspects to the wider public.
