A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan and the "Manar" Center of the UAE.

Today, on April 4, a roundtable discussion was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan on the topic “Dialogue, Solidarity, and Prospects,” in cooperation with the “Manara” Center in Abu Dhabi, which focuses on peaceful coexistence and regional dialogue.

 

The event was opened by the Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, Firdaus Abdukhalikov.

 

Vice President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and head of the “Manara” Center, Dr. Ali Rashid Al-Nuaimi, also spoke at the roundtable, highly praising the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan.

 

“Promising plans are being carried out between the two countries. This will contribute to strengthening friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between our nations. The Center of Islamic Civilization, being established on the initiative of the esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is a significant event for the entire Islamic world. This important initiative will further raise Uzbekistan’s global profile by bringing together scholars, guests, and intellectuals. The opening of the Center will serve as a foundation for the country’s sustainable development,” he noted.

“Our esteemed President has given special instructions to allocate office space on the second floor of our Center for foreign partners and reputable international organizations. Representatives of these foreign organizations will have the opportunity to carry out joint scientific research with local scholars in the Center’s building.

As part of today’s event, we are signing a memorandum of cooperation with the ‘Manara’ Center, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. According to the memorandum, in the near future, a branch of the ‘Manara’ Center will begin operating within the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan,” said Firdaus Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center.

 

For reference: the official opening ceremony of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is scheduled for September of this year. In order to ensure high-quality service for museum visitors, a group of the Center’s researchers will be sent to the UAE for advanced training. This process will be carried out at the suggestion of the “Manara” Center’s leadership.

 

At the conclusion of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Center of Islamic Civilization and the “Manara” Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. According to the memorandum, a branch of the “Manara” Center will begin operating in the building of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The parties also exchanged commemorative gifts.

 

This cooperation will serve to strengthen cultural and scientific ties between the two countries and will also significantly contribute to enhancing the international prestige of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
