Imagine the caravan of civilizations on the wall
Active work is underway at the Center of Islamic Civilization on the project “The wall of civilizations, personalities, and discoveries”.
One of the most important and central parts of the museum exhibition being created within the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, this wall embodies the core idea of the institution: to present the development of human thought, science, spiritual heritage, and cultural achievements through the examples of different civilizations.
The wall will occupy a large area, gathering the rich heritage created by our people over the century’s scientific discoveries, spiritual wealth, various works of art, manuscripts, artifacts, and samples of material culture. The project requires extensive preparation not only in form but also in content and sources.
The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Russian company “Planet 9”, which has vast experience in this field and has participated in creating a number of major international exhibitions and interactive museums. Within a short period, the overall concept, main content, and visual design of the wall were developed.
Today, an online meeting was held between the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and “Planet 9”. It was attended by company representatives, the Center’s Chief Researcher Zohidulla Munavvarov, curator of the “Wall of Time” exhibition Obid Tangirov, and other officials.
The participants discussed the main tasks of the project, emerging challenges, and practical solutions to overcome them. One of the key objectives is to coordinate a large amount of scientific and visual information in a short time and present it in a coherent, interconnected, and attractive form.
“At the central office of Planet 9 in Moscow, more than ten designers and specialists are working on the project. One of their lead designers is expected to visit Tashkent in the coming days so that we can continue the work in face-to-face format”, said Zohidulla Munavvarov.
It was also noted that the content for the sections on pre-Islamic civilizations, the First Renaissance, and the Second Renaissance has already been fully completed. Leading Uzbek scholars and international experts have been involved in this process, ensuring that the presented materials are academically sound and of high prestige.
