Unique ruby stones from Kuwait will be brought to Uzbekistan
A delegation from the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan made a scientific and creative visit to the “House of Islamic Antiquities” and the “Tariq Rajab Museum” in Kuwait.
During the meeting at the “House of Islamic Antiquities”, negotiations were held with the museum’s exhibition coordinator, Dr. Hadeel Khalil Rashad. The discussions revisited the matters agreed upon during the March visit earlier this year. In particular, the sides finalized arrangements to showcase unique ruby stones from the Mughal era within the framework of the international global exhibition “The cultural heritage of Uzbekistan – The heritage of all humanity”, which will be organized on the eve of the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization in 2025.
It was emphasized that special showcases meeting international museum standards are being prepared for the exhibition exhibits. Renowned companies such as Italy’s Goppion and Germany’s Glasbau Hahn are participating in this process.
The meeting also addressed the procedures for transporting, packaging, and temporarily storing the acquired artifacts, as well as the conditions being created in the Center’s building for housing foreign exhibits. At the end of the negotiations, the Kuwaiti side announced that it would fully assume responsibility for bringing the unique ruby stones to Uzbekistan.
In the second half of the day, the Center’s delegation met with Tariq Rajab Museum director Ziad Rajab and his sister, Noor Rajab. The discussion focused on preparations for the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization and the compilation of a book-album on artifacts related to the history of Uzbekistan preserved in the museum. Ziad Rajab stated that items for the international exhibition had already been selected and would be officially presented in the near future.
Following the results of the visit to Kuwait, it was agreed that two museums and one private collection in the country would actively participate in the global international exhibition dedicated to the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization. The Kuwaiti side also agreed to coordinate the insurance, packaging, and transportation of all exhibits destined for Uzbekistan.
