Another statue of Alisher Navoi has been erected in a foreign country

In the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, a statue of the great Uzbek thinker and poet Alisher Navoi has been erected. This cultural and educational event is being noted as a symbol of friendship and spiritual cooperation among Turkic peoples.

At the opening ceremony of the statue, Chairman of the Osh City Council of People’s Deputies, Bolotbek Bayetov, emphasized that Alisher Navoi’s invaluable scientific and literary heritage is not only a source of pride for the Uzbek people but for all Turkic nations.

Respecting and honoring Navoi’s legacy is the duty of every representative of the Turkic peoples, — he said.

The statue has been installed in one of the historical sites of Osh, and it is planned to hold cultural events around it dedicated to studying and promoting Navoi’s works.

It is worth noting that statues of Alisher Navoi have also been erected in several other countries, including Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Iran, China, and even Korea.
